Your responsibilities

Ensure that all processes for derivatives and other “out of custody” assets are duly and timely followed as designed. Use of good sense and risk oriented approach upon decision taking.

Principal activities are and not limited to:

  • Trade management (input, reconciliation and validation) of derivative instruments of all kinds within given deadlines

  • Payment instructions related for derivative instruments

  • Collateral instructions cash and securities

  • Strict adherence to rules, policies, laws, directives and any other obligation is due.

  • Ensure controls in place are duly executed and that timely escalation to the Section Head is ensured. Those controls must be documented and results reported as designed.

  • Provide proactive support to the other team members and to other sections when required

  • Promote effective and professional communication in the team being transversal or bottom-up, with internal stakeholders and certainly with external parties. Be an example and strive for excellence in that area.

  • Ensure active participation to Section meeting and share experience when possible.

  • Prevent any Nearly Missed incidents and ensure follow up and resolution

  • Ensure proactive participation to projects upon request by using experience and expertise. Best represent the section and more generally Operations.

  • Show a strong “can do” attitude when it comes to requests or changes.

Required profile

  • Academic background (i.e A level+2)  in Finance or equivalent and/or a proven experience in a similar role for up to 2 years Experience in a similar function

  • Good understanding of the fundamentals of a Financial organization and related supervisory bodies

  • Very good understanding of the Derivatives world, definition and specificities of all different derivatives types and their related operational handling (including collateral management)

  • Fair understanding of the Custody and Fund business principles (Luxembourg and Cayman Funds)

  • Fair understanding of the applicable laws, directives and regulations

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English

  • Good command of the Microsoft Office package with an advanced knowledge of Excel being an advantage

  •   SimCorp Dimension for the booking of Derivatives instruments, cash and securities collateral, term deposits and cash flows

This is a great opportunity for a banking institution located in Luxembourg Munsbach, to start asap on a temporary contract (3 months + possible extensions)

Salary: beetween 55 and 65K annual, depending on experience
