For one of our clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg Kirchberg, Sofitex Talent is currently looking for an:

Group Risk & Compliance - Compliance Officer (M/F)

  Job Description:

The Compliance Officer will:

- Operate standard compliance tools and data bases (e.g. for Sanction, PEPs and adverse media screening)

- Perform and document AML/CFT due diligence checks on counterparties and their key persons;

- Draft compliance opinions describing the outcome of the independent compliance assessment;

- Perform additional due diligence checks, reviews, controls and system testing activities as and when requested;

- Liaise with the 1st Line of Defense if and when requested:

- Track progress and contribute to weekly reporting activities.

Required profile

Skills:

- University degree, preferably in law, political science, economics, finance;

- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in AML/CFT compliance preferably in the banking sector in the EU;

- Experience in similar tasks and projects will be an advantage;

- Knowledge of standard computer tools and full proficiency in internet searches; knowledge of compliance-related data bases and screening tools,

- Practical approach and ability to understand the operational requirements and priorities;

- Good communication and writing skills;

- Excellent knowledge of English. A good knowledge of French would be an advantage

- Advanced Excel skills would be an advantage.

This is an opportunity for an initial contract of 2 months, with possible extensions afterwards.

Salary ranges between 5,550€ and 7,000€ gross per month, depending on experience.
